The 2014 TdF has certainly lived up to the hype. Stage 2 & 5 might as well be Spring Classics. While Peter Sagan's bicycle skills are put on display often with bunny hops, wheelies and sizzling down hill antics, The Shark quietly possesses his own set of skills. We already know he is a great descender but the cobbles of stage 5 proved his skill set is even broader. After 10 stages the rider with the most well rounded skills is deservedly wearing yellow.
The tech coming out of France has been pretty awesome.
Nibali's dropper seatpost. Since they are adding weight to bikes these days why not add something useful. On a long technical descent being lower to the frame would be a benefit. (photo by BikeRadar)
Pro Cycling on $10 a Day
Almost finished with Phil's book. Easy read & very entertaining. Phil manages to keep a sense of humor after so many setbacks while chasing his dream of making it in a cruel sport. Worth a read.
Here's a snapshot and this is just the dedication.
